Is it Time to Supercharge your CRM?

Is now the perfect moment to enhance the capabilities of your CRM system and take your business to the next level?

Many companies invest in CRM systems hoping to see it lead to significant returns on their investment, driving more sales, increased revenue and an improved customer experience. However, despite the general positivity surrounding CRM benefits, often businesses who have committed to a CRM implementation are left disappointed by their return on investment (ROI).

Whilst the main vendors will continue to tell us that CRM tools have the potential to significantly boost key business metrics, according to Gartner's 2020 Market Guide for Revenue Intelligence Platforms, despite 89% of Sales Organisations implementing a CRM, only 39% of CSOs are either satisfied or very satisfied with their tech stacks. Whilst this is a very sobering statistic I believe that the technology itself is rarely to blame and instead we should at the way it has been configured, integrated and rolled out. It's often the case the companies will see a flashy demo accompanied with some impressive statistics and think "Great! This is the silver bullet we've been looking for", purchase the software and roll it out without taking the time to tailor to their businesses unique needs and challenges.

Studies have found that up to 43% of CRM users utilize less than half of the available tools within their CRM system (DemandSage), sadly your Salesforce AE is unlikely to issue you a credit note on your under-utilised licenses. This underuse could be attributed to a multitude of factors, but I like to simplify this to one of two reasons; either the users don't know how to use the features or they simply don't want to.

Whilst neither option is great, the good news is that both are fixable and in this series of blogs I will share my proven tips and strategies to overcome the challenges businesses face with their CRM implementation.

Users Don't Know How to Use CRM

I firmly believe in the power of education, training and being a life-long learner

Moreover, the adoption of CRM does not always guarantee an immediate improvement in productivity or sales. About 22% of salespeople are still uncertain about what CRM is and how to leverage it fully (DemandSage). This indicates a gap in training and understanding that could contribute to dissatisfaction or less-than-expected performance improvements.

Given these statistics, it's clear that while many companies are keen to invest in CRM technologies, a significant portion struggles to achieve the expected financial outcomes. This can lead to frustrations and a perception that the ROI on CRM investments is not meeting expectations.

Let's explore the potential benefits of supercharging your CRM and how it can propel your efficiency and success.
